My favorite! Kids are still kids, everywhere you go...their eyes are always following you!

The women of Maidi...

Every time I looked at her, she smiled and the minute I would decide to take a photo she would become veryyyy serious....this made us laugh...such a sweet lady!!!

I suspect she thought I am too skinny so she kept bringing food...Ohh how much more rice and lentils can one eat??? I beat the record!

Curious...

A porter...

The men of the village...

His face is sad...there is a dying relative behind him..on the floor.

A man...just sitting...

A hard working lady...her regular day looks like this:
4 am get and sweep the floors of the mud house, smear the walls, and clean the buffaloes house. Then go cut grass to feed the buffaloes.
12 pm cook food, eat, then go to the field to plow.
Return around 6 pm, cook food and eat.
8 pm in bed.

A hidden 20 days old baby. It was left on the side of a bench and someone could have sat on top of it if it did not move...

Babu...a sweet little thing!!!

The lady who gave me grilled corn...so nice, so kind, and beautiful!

The students of Maidi...the pride of the village...I was so happy to see them coming from school!!!

The mother of the mud house owner.

Wife of the mud house owner.

The mud house in Maidi...Eventually I grew attached to this place ...
